Directories and Interfacing with Git Repositories
« on: March 02, 2018, 05:04:01 pm »
I've updated to Slickedit Pro 2017 hoping to interface with my local git repositories.  When I try to Add a repository in the Repository Browser (click '+' and browse to the directory), it doesn't recognize any of my existing git repository directories.  Also, when I enter something like "r:\" in the "Add Repository Path", I get a "Directory not found" error message.  There seems to be something rather basic that I'm missing here.  What could it be?

It wants the root of the local repository.  If you have a file open in the repository, it should prompt you to add the root.  I've attached a screeenshot, where f:\src\VCTests\git\SEGitTest is the local root.

If you aren't prompted, you can press the + button to the right of the Repository: list.

Please let me know if this helps.

I just realized that my picture didn't attach the first time.
