Highlight symbol under mouse has rendering precedence over selection - making the selection invisible.
Enable that, place the cursor inside a long symbol and shift-select a few characters.
You cannot see the selection.
Same problem as with "Highlight all matches".
With the word highlighting code I have in usermacros (using _StreamMarkerAdd()), the selection overrides the highlights - much better.
