12.0.1.0 Delete Key does not Delete Selection in Linux

After I upgraded to SE 12.0.1.0, my delete key will no longer delete selected text under Linux.  Under Windows is does (as expected).  I looked through the doco, but there doesn't seem to be a setting that I can use to re-enable this!

I verified that my keybinding were the same between Windows and Linux.

Any hints on how to fix this??

Ok, it seems that changing the emulation to cua, then back to vc restored the delete key -- whew! 

So nevermind.
