Possible to get Paste (Ctrl+V) working in incremental search?
« on: October 04, 2018, 06:36:23 AM »
When I start i-search (Ctrl+I), then try a Paste (Ctrl+V) it's actually pasting in the current buffer. Is it possible to get this working as expected (paste in the command-line)? Not the same behavior for quick-replace (Ctrl+H), where it does work as expected.

Then similar question about the numerical keys '/' and '*': in quick-replace they don't do anything, while for i-search they type in the buffer...

Edit: SlickEdit Pro 2018 (v23.0.0.6 64-bit), Win7x64, Keyboard Emulation = "Visual Studio default"

Try using gui-find (Ctrl+F) which displays the mini find dialog. This would be more suited to the kind of incremental searching you want.
