dot character not escaped when "Escape Special Characters"
« on: October 09, 2018, 02:23:37 am »
In BigFind, choose a Regular Expression (Perl) search. Type "." (dot) character in "Search For". Then choose the right arrow next to "Search for" and click on "Escape Special Characters".

The dot is not getting escaped.

Beta5, Linux x64, Centos 7.2

Reproduced. Looks like it's doing escaping but maybe for the wrong syntax.

_escape_re_chars() re_chars char-set variables missing '.'.  Goofed up when we added Vim regex syntax support to it.

Fixed for RC1
