B6: Diff Forgets Filename
« on: October 11, 2018, 02:32:58 PM »
I used the multi-diff feature and used the "<< Merge All" button.  When I went to close the diff it normally asks if you would like to save the changes of the file.  This time it had no filename (see attached photo).  If I select "Yes", it says "Missing filename" (see attached photo).  I do a bunch of diffs a day and this is the first time I've seen it.

I am running Ubuntu 16.04, SE Beta 6.

So you ran a diff from the multi-file diff, then clicked "<<Merge All"?

I will look into this.

I just sent an email.  It seems this is happening on the other diff issue I am having problems with (https://community.slickedit.com/index.php/topic,16551.0.html).

Are you sure you're using multi-file diff? I can't reproduce this using multi-file diff but I can reproduce this if I diff untitled buffers when diffing two files.

I am sure I am using the multi-diff with filenames.  It seems this is related to another diff bug.  Dan is aware of the problem and I think has a solution.  Thanks for following up.

Are you clicking Merge All in a diff you launched from multi-file diff?
