BHB: Restore doesn't tell Slickedit
« on: November 06, 2018, 01:39:57 AM »
Open a file in Slick.
Modify it.
Use BHB to restore a different version.
Slick doesn't notice.
Switch away from slick and back again.
Now Slick complains: Reload modified files.

When you say Slick doesn't notice do you mean that it didn't reload, or that the date didn't get set properly so it prompted to reload?

After diff restored the file, and I closed diff, the modified buffer was still open in slick and slick didn't notice that the file had been overwritten with a different version.

When I switched away from slick and back again, then it noticed that the file on disk had been changed and it prompted me to reload.

This may be a side effect of the "diff a copy of the buffer/preserve undo" change.

Did you choose not to save the changes when you closed the diff?

I didn't have diff open, just BHB, I hit the "restore" button, got this prompt:
---------------------------
SlickEdit Pro
---------------------------
1 of these files already exist.  Restoring them will replace the contents.

Continue?
---------------------------
&Yes   &No
---------------------------

Answered yes, and closed BHB.

This will be fixed for the next hotfix.
