Insufficient memory error when tagging
« on: November 30, 2018, 08:00:27 PM »
So, I've got a workspace on a linux nfs share that I use with both linux and Mac versions of SE (23.0.0.11) on linux, there are no issues . On mac when I open the workspace (having closed it on Linux), it starts retagging. For many of the files the status line flashes an error complaining about insufficient memory. The cpu usage goes to 190%+, and slick becomes sluggish and unresponsive. It also will not quit - i have to force quit, and it hangs when I try and close the workspace.

This seems particular to one workspace (though my testing is not extensive). I've deleted the .vtg and .vpwhist files and that did not fix things. I got the same issues when it tagged from scratch.

Help!

Verify that you have adequate disk space to write the tag file.

There are TB available on the disk, and no quota. And the Linux side has no problems with the workspace, or its tagfiles.
