project-build stop working.

Hello,
Slickedit has been used for a long time and worked good along the way.
Suddenly project-build command stop working, after issuing command message "No more errors" displayed on the status bar immediately , after a while late message "Time out waiting for process to initialized" appeared in status bar.

Could you please tell me how to fix it.

Windows 7 or 10 OS, which build?  We have had another report of this and have not been able to reproduce it yet on any of our in-house test platforms.  Have you checked virus scanner for any quarantine or messages, or tried temporarily disabling virus scanning to see if it may be related?  Also, what is the environment variable for ComSpec set to, is it C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe or something else?

The other customer's IT guy fixed the problem but we have no idea what he did to fix it (customer didn't know-- using Windows 10). If it's the same problem, the problem is likely not your COMSPEC setting but some security related thing that prevents processes from piping the output of CMD.EXE using a named pipe.

Anti-virus is the most likely culprit. While it could be some windows update breaking something, we're thinking it's not because tons of customers would have the same problem (us too).

What anti-virus are you using?

The company uses McAfee tools, I will ask IT guys to solve this problem.

We haven't been provided any more information on this. Wish we could be more helpful.
