References layout
« on: June 11, 2019, 07:27:51 PM »
I like to arrange things so I have my references pane docked to the right side of my editor, which makes it taller than it is wide.  It would be really nice if I could place the references preview pane below the list of references instead of on the right side.

If you turn off the preview pane in the References tool window, you can still use the "Preview tool window" to preview references.  Using them in combination like this might allow you to organize the references list and preview in the way that you want.

I will file a feature request for the alternate layout for a future release.

I generally dock References to the left of the editor underneath the Defs/Project/Symbols/Open tool windows, and have the preview turned off.

Thanks!  I've used SlickEdit for years and never knew what the Preview tool window was good for.  I was able to dock the Preview window on the right, underneath the References window, and now it's exactly what I want.
