x key events being sent to slickedit in linux
« on: June 16, 2007, 05:08:28 am »
I run slickedit under linux.

Does anybody know if slickedit accepts x events and responds to them.

Following is what I have read about other apps:

sending x key events is known to work with XTerm, RXVT, WordPerfect, XFMail, XEmacs, and others. GTK-based apps seem to work too. Qt-based apps (at least the two I've tried) do not. XTerm does not work by default -- you have to bring up the ctrl+left-click menu, and turn on "Allow SendEvents".

Does anybody know about slickedit  ?  I'm trying to get a program xvoice to work with slickedit so I can use voice recognition to type
in slickedit.

Thanks.
