When I need to block indent a large number of lines, I do a block select (using right click and drag). Then I press <TAB> or <Shift-TAB> to indent/unindent.

Usually after block selecting, I scroll up so I can see the first line of the block selection, so that I can judge that I indented to the proper position.

However when I press <TAB> the display changes to show me the bottom of the selected block. When this happens I cannot see how far I am relative to the line at the top of the block because the top line has scrolled out of view.

I would rather that pressing <TAB> in this case keeps the display so that I can still see the top of the block.
