B2: Golang support, how strong is it?
« on: August 09, 2019, 06:11:13 pm »
Hi, after 3 years of no update i thought about to come back to SE after I get the information of a new beta is available, so give it a try. Main reason for come back is the switch from c/c++, where i know SE has very good support, to golang. Played a few minutes in comparison to VSCode, and it feels very clumpy(speed(maybe due to beta) and feature wise) on SE :(.
As example if I use go modules and have import outside of the default it's impossible for SE to resolve the symbols until I add the vendor directory, if I have one, or the global package directory to a tag file.
VSCode(with go extension) didn't have this problem.
So the question, did someone real develop in go and use SE, and how happy are you with it?
What i currently need is as strong support for golang and python, also c/c++ but not so often anymore.
