Frustration with annotation with vi keybindings
« on: October 11, 2019, 10:07:09 pm »

I've started to dive into the use of SE's annotation feature.   However, I'm frustrated when I'm editing/creating the annotation as it assumes my editor emulation for the dialog (vim), but will dismiss without saving the minute an escape key is pressed to reenter command mode.

Steps to reproduce:
Create any annotation.

Since I have vim key bindings press normal command character to insert, append, whatever.
Being a power vim user, I automatically press the escape so as to navigate to some other portion of text to fix or edit--but this dismisses the window (and thus loses the changes).

I've checked in some hot fixes for the annotations feature so Esc works for Vim editor controls.

In next hot fix build.

Excellent.   I'll revisit use of annotations, then.
