Python function help
« on: January 26, 2020, 09:07:49 pm »
When I type
Code: [Select]
os.path.split(I get help for string.split(), instead of for path.split.

But if I do a push-tag, select symbol shows 5 possibilities.

#1: Seems like it should select help for os.path.split() in this simple case at least
#2: Why doesn't function_argument_help pop up with the "1 of 5"  and let me pick which one?

I can not reproduce this.  There is probably more context needed here.  What you are seeing sounds like a case where Context Tagging could not evaluate the prefix path as the package "os.path", maybe you have a string variable also named 'path' that is getting in the way.
