Move/Rename Dialog always fails?
« on: July 25, 2020, 10:49:55 pm »
In Slickedit 2015, running on Windows 10, I cannot rename files using the Move/Rename Files dialog box. It always says "Access denied". See attached.

An oddity is that the filename is always prefixed by some spaces and a multi-digit number. In the attachments my filename is actually "Qpid-and-Aerospike-Notes.txt". The " 1068" bit is not mine.

Does anyone know what is happening here?

(edit) The files and directories involved are writable. The problem occurs on local Windows 10 NTFS filesystems, and also on remove Linux/Samba shared filesystems.

This bug was fixed in SlickEdit 2018 (and also hot-fixed in SlickEdit 2017 - 22.0.3).
