Double click on word
« on: July 27, 2020, 05:35:55 pm »
Double clicking on a word does not always select the word. Sometimes I need to do it multiple times.
I have a trackball with a button I can set to do a double click with a single button press. There is not a way to specify how fast the clicks are issued so my guess is that they go too fast and sometimes SlickEdit misses one.

When I do the double click manually it always seems to work.

You may be able to tune that behavior using your OS settings.  For example, on macOS, you would go to System Preferences > Mouse > Double-click speed

So far that seems to have solved the problem. I was a little surprised that it made a difference because I'm using a 3rd party trackball instead of a Mac mouse.

Thanks, Wayne
