Switching between Terminal & Editor
« on: January 29, 2021, 06:10:53 am »
Hi All,

I have a question (note: I am new to SlickEdit and I am using an evaluation license of ver 25 on macOS):

How can I switch between the Editor and Terminal windows using keyboard shortcuts?

Under 'Key Bindings' I have set up two new bindings:

Ctrl-Shift-T is bound to 'activate-terminal'
Ctrl-Shift-/ is bound to 'activate-editor'

Switching from Editor to Terminal works as expected.
The keys bound to 'activate-editor' don't seem to do anything when pressed from Termnial or another tool window.
Changing the binding to a different key-combination makes no difference.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Just press Esc to switch back to the editor

I’ll see if we can get activate-editor to work better

Much appreciated. In the meantime, Esc seems to work quite well. Thank you!
