[Beta 2] Tab inserts a fixed number of spaces
« on: August 25, 2020, 09:14:37 am »
[Beta 2, Win 10 x64, Brief] I've got a simple custom document mode for .S files (for arm asm - the default IBM ASM isn't close enough). In Formatting it defines "Indent with tabs": <unchecked>; "Syntax indent": 16; "Tabs": +16; Adaptive OFF for all. This seems to give a state where if I hit Tab I get 16 spaces irrespective of current indent.  I'm pretty sure that in v24 I got tab stops at 17, 33, 49,...

No way. Now and then we experiment with a subtle change.

This new option really needs to be per language. For assembly languages, it needs a different default setting than other languages.

Won't make beta 3 but we need to do something for beta 4.
