Files not saved over FTP after network glitch
« on: August 25, 2020, 01:56:41 pm »
If I have a number of files open over FTP and a network glitch occurs during a save, attempting to save the files again after network connection recovery will not cause them to be saved on the remote server.  This is a problem when something like 20 files are being modified and there's no way to save them short of doing an edit in every single open file (whether or not the file was actually changed because I can't remember which files changed) and then saving them again.

Is there a command that will force an FTP save for any remote files?

There is no command that will force upload, in so far as I understand your issue.
Each time a file is saved (whether modified or not), we attempt to upload the file. We set a flag on the buffer (VSBUFFLAG_FTP_UPLOAD_IN_PROGRESS).
I would expect to see your issue *only* on the ftp files that you attempted to save and that also "glitched".
My only suggestion is to exit the editor and restart. That effectively clears the flag that says a buffer is being uploaded.
