Developing plugins

So what is the recommended development cycle for plugins?

When I modify a macro in my plugin, how do I (quickly) test it?
Do I have to plugin-open, save and plugin-install each time?

After installing your plugin, you can modify your macros while the plugin is installed.

When you think you're done, recreate the zip file and install it again. (plugin-option and plugin-install).

I definitely would not create a new plugin for each change. That's more of an "I think I'm done" process.
