Diffzilla losing some chars - maybe due to ntfs and m.2 ?
« on: April 15, 2021, 02:24:14 PM »
Y'all,
When I pull up Diffzilla, sometimes a few chars are missing from the diffzilla display/buffer - it'll show that as a diff and will merge/delete those missing chars if I hit the button.  If I open the same file in SE or another editor, the chars are there.  This is frustrating as I've been a fan of Diffzilla forever...

On a side note and probably unrelated, but I think I see this on machines running Win10 a SSD M.2.  Is it a NTFS/SSD caching issue?

Edit: SlickEdit Pro 2018 (v23.0.2.0 64-bit)

Thanks!

Is there any chance you can send me the files?

Do you have maintenance?

While debugging I rebooted with no help.  I have since rebooted due to a USB problem, and now Diffzilla works.  I hate ghosts...

With any luck, I will never update this thread again...  but I feel I've also seen this on my office laptop that also runs Win10 on M.2 SSD...

Any chance you sent an option in DIFFzilla and it didn't get saved when you rebooted?  Could you send me the files and I'll take a look?  What kind of files?

We want you to stay a fan  ;)
