Moving File between columns
« on: June 14, 2021, 08:22:16 pm »
I have divided the main window divided into 3-columns and I open files in the different columns.  I used to be able to click on a file tab and drag the file to any of the other columns. At some point this changed such that I can only drag files between the first 2-columns (counting left to right). When I try to drag a file to the 3rd column, it won't go in the column, it just creates its own floating edit window.

I'm currently using v25.0.2.0 (64bit), but version 25.0.1.0 acted the same way.

I suspect it's the location of where you are dragging the window and not the fact there are 3 columns (try 6 columns). There must be some sort of incompatibility between the video drivers and Qt. There have been a few customers with issues with multiple monitors but we have not been able to reproduce the problem so we could even try to look into it.

I think you are on to something. When I reduce the SE window size to something less than full screen, I can move files between all three columns. Thanks.
