Diff options: Date and Size

These options are confusing, and help text doesn't help either:
1: (.) Assume match if date and size match - When selected, the two files are assumed to be the same if the date and size are the same. This will significantly speed multi-file diffs.
2: [ ] Assume mismatch if date different and size matches - Defines how to handle the case when the size is the same but the date differs.

If 1 is selected, and 2 is not checked:
a: Size mismatch: Slick will always compare files, no matter how these boxes are checked.
b: Size match & Date match: Slick will not compare the files?
c: Size match & Date mismatch: Will slick compare the files or not?

How does (c) change if the 2nd checkbox is also checked?

These only apply to a foreground diff.  Are you diffing in the foreground or the background?  The background diffs should be faster (and you do not have to wait on them), so these options are not needed as much.

Also, I don't think the help doc mentions this is for foreground diffing only.
