symbol coloring bug in v26 beta1

I see that colors are different.  Maybe I am missing something obvious, but could you explain more?  Also could you attach your user.cfg.xml?

They are using same config file, but the color is different.

Please attach your user.cfg.xml from your SlickEdit configuration directory (both for 25.0.2 and 26.0.0 b1)

This looks like it is probably a migration issue moving your custom Symbol Coloring profile from 25.0.2 to 26.0.0, but without your user.cfg.xml from 25.0.2, there is nothing I can do.

I found a bug in the color scheme migration.  However, in my testing, the symbol coloring seemed to come over correctly.  Did you encounter any other problems when you first brought up SlickEdit 2021 Beta 1?  Could you check in the "logs/stack.log" in the configuration directory for  version 26 to see if there are any problems?  (If there is no logs/stack.log, then things went OK).

I also have this problem with SE 26 beta 1.  The symbol colouring configuration has replaced many of the colours that I used in SE 25.

I exported the configuration from 25.0.2 and imported it into 26.0.0 and the colours are still wrong.  No errors in vs.log and no stack.log present.

Any help restoring my symbol colouring to sane values would be appreciated.

@rp:  Could you post your user.cfg.xml from your 25.0.2 configuration directory here.  Just attach it.  There's nothing private in it.  It's XML, you can look though it yourself.

@kevin:  Thanks, did you also migrate your configuration by exporting form 25.0.2 and importing into 26.0.0?

I uploaded my 25.0.2 user.cfg.xml file to support with the title "current_line_colour_bug" for another topic.  It's the same file though.

@rp:  That user.cfg.xml did not contain any symbol coloring customizations.

Some of the built-in symbol coloring rules and colors were modified in the new release, trying to improve the color choices and adding a couple new symbol coloring rules.  I do not know if this is the difference you are seeing, please give me an example.

@kevin: I tested exporting your settings form 25.0.2 and importing them into a clean 26.0.0, I still can not reproduce what you saw.

Is one of the built in rules for symbol colouring the same as 25.0.2?  My local variables have turned green in 26.0.0.  I was pretty familiar with the colours in 25 and would like those same colours in 26 if possible without doing it manually.

The symbol coloring defaults did change quite a lot between 25 and 26, especially for the light background themes. 

I am going to look into this.  I think I may have copied Symbol Coloring default colors for the Default light color scheme from the wrong place.

Thanks for looking into this.  Having the option to have the colours the same as 25 would be really good!
