Untitled files, deleting too much.
« on: August 04, 2021, 07:16:24 pm »
A little contrived repro, but shows problems with untitled file handling.

1 Create new file: "Untitled 2021-08-04"
2 Create new file: "Untitled 2021-08-04 12"
3 Close the 1st file.
4 Add text, then save the 2nd file: "Untitled 2021-08-04 12"

5 Create new file: "Untitled 2021-08-04"
6 Add text to it.
7 From an external CMD line, create a file in AutoSave:
Code: [Select]
C:\Users\jporkka\Documents\Slickedit\autosave>echo TESTFILE > "Untitled 2021-08-04"
8 In Slick, attempt to save this untitled file
---------------------------
Save
---------------------------
File 'C:\Users\jporkka\Documents\Slickedit\autosave\Untitled 2021-08-04' already exists.

Replace existing file?

9 Click "NO"
BUG: Slick created a new AutoSave file: "Untitled 2021-08-042021-08-04 1211"

10 Now, close this "Untitled 2021-08-04" in Slickedit, and it prompts:
---------------------------

---------------------------
Save changes to 'C:\Users\jporkka\Documents\Slickedit\autosave\Untitled 2021-08-04'?

Cancel   &Yes   &No

11 Click NO
BUG: The files "Untitled 2021-08-04" and "Untitled 2021-08-042021-08-04 1211" are both deleted.
