bug report: Backup History no longer diffs with current version

Hello,
Steps to reproduce:
- open a file that has several versions on "Backup History" (Tools Windows)
- in "Backup History" double click an "old" version (more than 2 versions away from current version opened in buffer)
Expected:
Diff window opens with current version on the left, selected "old" version on the right
Seen:
Diff window opens with "old" version -1 on the left, selected "old" version on the right

Besides, any version N you click on upper list (while in Diff window) changes both sides to N and N-1.
You can never diff current version with an "old" one.

I need to address being able to do two non-sequential versions.  Just so you know, you can select your local file on the left instead of consecutive versions.

Point is that the direct positioning of local/version-n that used to be automatic is lost.
