The "Comment" button is so out of the way...
Why not just always make the top-right pane of BackupHistory editable?
Then I can freely comment.

In the top left there is "Version, Date, Comment".
You could enable inline editing here too.

Hmmm.... seems like you don't even really need the top-right pane as it just has the same information as the top left with a different layout.

Interesting points.  That dialog is also for History Diff, so there is extra information in that pane in that case.

As a workaround, Alt+C is the shortcut for the Comment button.

Inline commenting would be nice in the Backuphistory tool window too.
