WRT Project->Open Workspace
« on: September 22, 2021, 07:48:30 pm »
Why does VisualStudio have 3 separate options?
Can't slickedit tell the type of solution by looking at the file?
Is there any difference in how slick processes a *.SLN file (for VSSolution vs C++ workspace)?
Does it matter what version of Visual Studio create the file?

What if a solution has both C++ and C# projects?

Visual Studio Solution: *.sln
Visual C++ Workspace: *.sln;*.dsw
Visual C++ Embedded: *.vcw

SlickEdit doesn't really care what workspace you open. It will figure out what to do based on a lot of logic (file extension, solution/project data). However, some customers have no idea that SlickEdit supports all these different project/solution types.
