Crash when opening "New File Dialog" (12.0.2.0)
« on: August 03, 2007, 07:11:39 AM »
When selecting File->New, SlickEdit crashes and shows the Slick-C Stack with the following Slick-C Error message:
Variable element or variable not initialized.
file=setupext. ex offset=1811

I've attached the vsstack file.

Any ideas to whats happening?

Hi,
I was having the same problem when I went to the File Extension window and posted about it here:

I ended up re-running the setup package and choosing Repair Installation, and then re-applying the latest hotfix, and my issue was fixed. Hope that might help you... Still wish I knew how I got into that state, though.

Thanks Evanratt, this solved my problem.
I still have no idea to how or why it happened.
