Flag or remove delected files from project?
« on: August 03, 2023, 06:25:42 PM »
Is there any way to have SE flag or automatically remove files from a project that no longer exist on disk?

I am running SE Pro 2019 (v24.0.0.8 64-bit) on Windows 10.  I have a project to which I manually added files by right-clicking on the folder (in the project view) and selecting add->files.  I navigate to that directory on disk and select the file(s) to add.  So far, so good.

If a file name changes, or the file is deleted (outside of SE) - I still see that file listed in the project view.  There is no icon change to show that it doesn't exist.  Going to Project->Refresh doesn't remove it or flag it.  If I double-click on the file it opens an empty window ('cause there is no file).

This is more of an inconvenience than anything else, but it would be nice to have.

Using wildcards might help if most of the files in your directories need to be in the project. At the moment, refresh doesn't have an option for removing deleted or renamed files.

When you add wildcards to projects, files are automatically updated.
