Attached config and demo project. Steps:

1. close and reopen SE as many times: the project is reopened with all 3 buffers open
2. change Tools > Options > Application Options > Auto Restore -> Auto restore selective display = Off, then OK
3. close and reopen SE: each time a buffer is not anymore opened. From 3rd reopening no more buffers...

Hope it can be reproduced...

Reproduced...Weird. We will look into this. Should be hot fixable.
