Automatic update of Project file with proper header files
« on: August 09, 2007, 12:05:44 pm »
I am having trouble with one aspect of Slick.

I use SlickEdit on Windows to edit many different projects, each in it's own workspace.  The builds happen on Linux server and the execution on a custom embedded processor board.  Typically I start with a set of source code files located in several directories.

My problem is in keeping the Slick project up to date with respect to what header files should be included.  If I add a source file to the Makefile, I have to manually add the source file to the project in slick.  Then worse, I have to manually follow the include file chain and manually add all of the include files to the slick project.  I want to have the Slick project exactly right so the results from search workspace are exactly right.

Is there an automated way to do this?

Using wildcards (Project Props->Add Wildcard) might be an option. This eliminates the need of specifiying each file separately.
