how to get normal caret/cursor instead of cross-hair for multiple cursors

Hello,
I an trying latest SE version 29.
There is a show stopper for me, the cross-hair caret/cursor shape used when you want to set multiple cursors (usually it is a CTRL+LCLICK).
This cross-hair obfuscates the view !
Is there anyway to change it ? Normal cursor is just fine and better (thiner).
I am still at version 26 just because of this... :-[

Turn the following option off:

Tools>Options>Editing>Cursor Movement>Change mouse point to cross-hair for Ctrl+Click
