I’ve used SlickEdit for over twenty years, but sadly, since around 2023 it seems to be in free fall:
  • At least since SlickEdit v29.0.0 the setup programs for Windows (se_29000000_win64.msi, se_29000100_win64.msi, se_29000200_win64.msi, se_29000300_win64.msi, se_29000400_win64.msi) have no valid digital signature anymore.
Corresponding notices by e-mail and in this forum are simply ignored. See https://community.slickedit.com/index.php/topic,19609.msg78456.html#msg78456
BTW: se_28000100_win64.msi was signed correctly on 2024-01-22 using a certificate that expired on 2024-04-17.
  • The forums are often unavailable and run on outdated forum software that does not support Markdown.
Several users reported several times that the forum service is unavailable. Nothing happened to the present day.
  • The SlickEdit website is just a shadow of its former self.
  • No more online shop (back to e-mail).
  • No more user accounts.
  • Downloads from Dropbox ("in the hopes of solving some issues").
