Search History List
« on: November 09, 2007, 02:50:33 PM »
To view and select previous search/replace operations, you can add a search history combo box control to a toolbar. From the main menu, click View > Toolbars > Customize. On the Toolbar Customization dialog, select the Categories tab, then select the Searching category. Drag the combo box control to a docked toolbar. The history remembers the search/replace information in / (slash) command form. See “/” in the Help for more information.

To remove the control, simply drag it off of the toolbar when the Toolbar Customization dialog is displayed.

Bonus tip: Note that only toolbars--not tool windows--can be customized with controls. For example, you can't add the search history control to the Find and Replace tool window. However, you can modify existing toolbars and create your own toolbars with controls for things you use frequently.

Is there is any way we can make searching history case insensitive.

YeS/I

add the I switch.  See the find command in the help or use the find/replace dialog and observe what switches appear in the search history.
