How to modify the system form?
« on: September 05, 2008, 02:54:38 PM »
I activated the preview form. I pressed Ctrl+Shift+Space to edit it.
Then I deleted some controls (ie,button, label). I deleted the code correspond to the controls that be deleted in the source file. I tested it, it works well. But I closed slickedit, and restarted it, I found the form has been modified, but the source seem not be modified and showed many error message.

I'm not sure I understand.  Are you talking about the tagwin.e file in the slick installation macros folder?  If so, are you saying you edited this file, then saved it and loaded it.  If you change the file and save it, slick isn't going to throw away your changes and revert to the previous version unless you tell it to.  If you have slickedit backup history enabled, you'll be able to get your changes back but I don't see how you could lose them in the first place.  Is it possible that you're mixing up a version of tagwin.e from your config hotfix folder with the installation macros folder version?   When you closed slick, did your configuration get saved?

thanks you reply,
Yes,I edit the tagwin.e after disable the preview window ,and saved it.Then I activate the preview window again. It's work rightly as I want.
I close the slickedit, and startup slickedit again. Then I found it show some error message that tell me the ctltagdocs not found.I check the tagwin.e in the slick install macros folder, the tagwin.e do not be reverted.

I edit the tagwin.e for delete the control ctltagdocs and relation code.
