'Find in Files' problem
« on: November 27, 2007, 04:08:32 PM »
Hello,

I use SlickEdit 12.0.3 (hotfix file rev.14 loaded) on Ubuntu 7.10. I have a problem with 'Find in Files' dialog. Trying to find a string in files in directory (with various file types including '*') always get the error message attached. What could be the problem?

Thank you,

Al

Thanks for pointers, HS2. But it is strange, that so old problem still is not fixed. I always considered that if I need a root access to correct some problem with application, this application cannot be considered commercial quality... Somebody from support care to comment?

I agree...seems this should actually be fixed, as the "workaround" is not very good.  Especially since the "fonts.conf" file clearly states:
        DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE.
IT WILL BE REPLACED WHEN FONTCONFIG IS UPDATED.

I started getting the error after upgrading to fedora 8.
