How to change compiler options?
« on: December 11, 2007, 10:50:39 pm »
I'm doing a C++ project and I chose to have it use an auto-generated, auto-maintained makefile.

With this setup, how do I allow customizable compiler options?  I notice in the makefile there is a section for user editable area.  But later, outside of the user editable area, it defines the compile / link commands as:

COMPILE=g++ -c    -g -o "$(OUTDIR)/$(*F).o" $(CFG_INC) "$<"
LINK=g++  -g -o "$(OUTFILE)" $(OBJ) $(CFG_LIB)

Because of this, there is no way for me to specify my own compiler options in the user editable area.  Is there a way around this, or do I have to use a self-maintained makefile?
