Save as dialog ignores current name under linux
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:46:59 am »
I am using 12.0.3. When I save an existing file
(gui_save_as), the dialog editbox is not filled
with the current file_name by default. This is
not the same behaviour as what happens
in windows. Is this by design? It used to be
the case that to save a version of a file,
I could just append, for example, a version
number to the existing name. Now I must type
in the entire name which is a bit of a nuisance.

I'm not having this problem here (v12.0.3 r31 on WXPSP2).
However, mostly I'm using the cmdline version 'sa' == 'save-as' (bound to a shortcut).  Could be a fast alternative also for you.
