Background file save?
« on: December 17, 2007, 06:33:23 pm »
I've been working on a project where I have to edit huge files over the network. It's slow, but there's no alternative. What would speed things up a great deal is if I could do background load & saves. That way, I wouldn't have to wait for a file operation. Once I load the first file, I could background load the second, while I edited the first. Once I finish a file, I could do a background save, then switch over and edit another as it saved.

Other than running multiple instances of Slickedit, is there some gem that would let me implement this via macro?
