portscan blocks
« on: March 30, 2008, 04:12:08 PM »
I’m getting portscan blocks from Norton Anti-virus when I start eclipse with SE core installed -- doesn't seem to affect operation. Unfortunately I can’t get !@#$ AV to ignore the request by configuring a bypass rule (i've asked Symantec for help)... Just wondering if this is something anyone had run into already..
thx

Hi Paladin,

See this thread for some background on this issue (from the SlickEdit 2008 beta):  http://community.slickedit.com/index.php?topic=2904.0 .  What I recommend you do, is allow scans on the port range 27000-27010, but only for requests originating from the host machine.

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
