Feature Request: Import color schemes from Vim
« on: August 26, 2006, 03:40:28 am »
Vim has many wonderful colorschemes that I, and I'm sure others, would love to be able to import for use in Slickedit.

It would be great if there was some sort of automated import utility for Vim colorschemes.

I know that it wouldn't be perfect, but as someone who has tried to manually convert some of the colorschemes over for use in Slickedit, I would find an importing script or utility program to do the conversion to be a great time saver.

Thank you.

Good idea. I'm sure it will work for the basic settings (keyword, etc.).
Maybe you already know: All the schemes are contained in config/uscheme.ini which is a human readable ini-formatted file.
It's not too hard to write a import macro using the macros in ini.e (_ini_get_section,_ini_get/set_value).
(Dunno the format of vim schemes.)

Or we start sharing our well-designed schemes here...
