vc hotfix backed out?
« on: May 20, 2008, 07:58:35 pm »
A few hotfixes ago there was a change to vc.e (v1.123) regarding adaptive formatting.
The r24 hotfix of vc.e (v1.123.4.1) seems to have removed the source code for the adaptive formatting hotfix.

Was a different/better fix found that supercedes the old one, or was it intentionally backed out, or was it accidentally backed out?
I didn't see any mention of a subsequent change to vc.e, so I was curious about this, as I'd been having adaptive formatting get reset in files and was happy to see the original hotfix.

I'd also like to know if the AF fix was inadvertently dropped as it seems. TIA, HS2

Yes, "inadvertantly" is a good word here.  As much trouble as that Adaptive Formatting bug caused me, I'd hate to lose it.

The hotfix was updated again this morning, and the fix should be back in there.  Thanks!

@Sandra: But all the AF trouble was truly worth it ! IMHO it's a killer feature. Thanks again, HS2
