How to create NEW files on ftp server directly?

Hi,
I am now using SlickEdit and SSH to edit my code on a remote unix server.
sometimes, I want to create a new file on the remote server directly. Unfortunately, in the 'save as' dialog, there is no way to select the ftp folder.
Anyone has a soluton? thanks!

Before you start creating the file:

In the FTP tab, right-click in the area where the files are shown.  Choose the option "New Remote File".
