Modifying CPU registers with SE's GDB front-end
« on: February 17, 2009, 04:05:59 pm »
I searched for an answer to this question but didn't see one. I apologize if I missed the thread.

I've recently been using Slickedit (sadly, v11 because I can't get my employer to upgrade at the moment) as a front-end for a remote debug session with GDB.  I can get a register window and it works well, but I'd like to be able modify a register with the GUI.  Does anyone know if this is possible?  I could do a 'debug-send-command set $r <val>' but I'm not sure that register window would even refresh after that.

If register modification hasn't been built into v11, has anyone enhanced the functionality with a slick-c macro?

Thanks!
