goto_url() open wrong browser
« on: February 27, 2009, 02:55:31 am »
Hello,

I am using SlickEdit 12.0.3.0 under Windows XP.
The goto_url() command always open url using IE7, although I have FireFox installed and setup as the default browser.
Any idea if the macro can be fixed and use the OS API (whatever it is I'm not sure) to retrieve the proper default browser?

We have dozens of users with different browsers/paths so running Firefox directly is not a proper solution now.

Thank you!

You can configure the browser used by SlickEdit by selecting Tools > Options > Web Browser Setup from the main menu. There you can select the browser SlickEdit will use and the path to the executable. Please let us know if this doesn't resolve your issue.

Thank you, it should work for us!

(I'm not sure why Automatc choosen IE over Mozilla thought)
Maybe mention this pane in the help topic for goto_url().
