rendering of backslash
« on: October 03, 2006, 04:33:28 pm »
:'( Slick edit renders the backslash in what looks like some unprintable character. I have tried various fonts and they all have the same rendering of "\". How can I get a backslash to look like a backslash?

Hi applebyk,
you should always refer to OS / Slick version to avoid the standard question asking for exactly that details.
Saves your and others time.

Sorry - no hint concering \ rendering :( But I think it's ok for most users ...

You can thank Microsoft for this bug but I know the work around.  You need to select a "Script" which is not Default!  Try picking "Western".  Microsoft seems to reconfiguring the default script when you switch into languages like Japanese.
