Eclipse Editor does not keep list of open files when Eclipse is close than start.

This issue only occurred with the following scenario.

Setup:
  • SlickEdit Core v3.5
  • C language
  • SlickEdit Editor: single header file open

Step to reproduce:
  • Start Eclipse - only header file in SlickEdit editor
  • Search (multiple files) for a symbol.
  • Open the a "c" file with this symbol.
  • Close eclipse and restart it.
  • There is only the header file open in the SlickEdit Editor.

I think both files should be open in the editor.

The following scenario is working:
  • Start Eclipse - only header file in SlickEdit editor
  • In the "C Project Explorer", open the same "c" file as the scenario with the problem.
  • Close eclipse and restart it.
  • There is 2 files (header and "C") open in the SlickEdit Editor.

I can replicate this if I search directories external to my workspace, and open a file which does not belong to my workspace, and then restart Eclipse.  If I search the files in my workspace, all files opened from the SlickEdit Search view remain opened after the restart.

Are you searching for files which belong to your workspace or searching for files which reside outside of your workspace?

I did test the scenario which isn't working with the CDT editor, and the files remained open, so I will see what we can do to fix that bug.  I'm not sure if this will be something which is hotfixable yet.  Thanks for the report.

Hi Ryan,

I was looking for file outside the workspace in this case (compiler header file).

Do you have any status on the case that was not working?

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a fix yet for this case, but at least we are on the same page.  The defect has been filed and I'll post a hotfix if one can be released.
