File format convert tool?
« on: September 23, 2009, 11:41:16 pm »
I work on both linux & Win machines.  I have SE11 loaded on both machines.
Does SE have a tool to convert a Win file (CR/LF) to a Linux file (LF), and vise-versa?  It appears SE figures out the file format by itself, but I don't know how to force it one way or the other.

Thanks

I don't know for 11 (I don't keep old versions around), but in 14 File -> Save As has an option at the bottom of the dialog for line format.  I leave it on Automatic unless I'm sending a file to a Mac or Unix user (and even then, it often doesn't matter).  I'd guess that you'll have the same in 11.

This feature should also be in 11.  I think I've been using it since version 6.
